My name is Beth-Ann and I am Thomas’ mom and caregiver. When Thomas was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, it was one of the worst days of my life. Our entire world completely changed in a matter of minutes. I was lost, I was confused, and I was very scared. In 2021, after five years in and out of hospitals, I lost my son to cancer.
During Thomas’ journey so many foundations supported us along the way, not only financially, but also mentally and emotionally. I want to help pay that kindness forward by providing the same support we received.
I created this foundation to keep my son’s memory and legacy alive. The Live Like Tom Foundation focuses on the caregivers of children with pediatric cancer. I know firsthand that caregivers spend many days and many sleepless nights uncomfortably worrying about, tirelessly advocating for, and ferociously loving their children. They are the heroes that live in the shadows. We see you.
The Live Like Tom Foundation will use donations from supporters like you to provide caregiver bags filled with much needed personal amenities to make hospital stays less scary and more comfortable.
Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed.
